What you’ll study
You will complete a program in Economics comprised of foundational studies in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics and an embedded major in your choice of:
If you meet the entry and progression criteria, you can elect to complete the Advanced Economics program, which serves as a pathway to Honours in Economics.
You will also complete a major from a broad range of subject areas (see ‘Shared pool’ below), including business, STEM, social sciences, and humanities. Additionally, you will complete units of study from the Open Learning Environment and any elective units needed to make up the required credit points for the course.
In the final year of your degree, you will undertake advanced coursework where you will enhance your leadership, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and increase your employment prospects. You will undertake challenging coursework and a substantial real-world project individually or in collaboration with other students.
If you would like to undertake Honours and meet the relevant admission criteria, you can apply for the Bachelor of Economics (Honours) after completing the requirements of the three-year Bachelor of Economics.
