The rule sets out maximum times for various types of qualifications, but there may be shorter periods specified in the relevant course resolutions. It is important to check them.

Sometimes you may be permitted to suspend your candidature, and periods of suspension are not usually counted when calculating the maximum time.
However, regardless of any periods of suspension, there is an absolute maximum limit of 10 years from the date of your first enrolment. You must complete your degree within this time.
Bachelor degrees may be pass degrees (which are Level 7 of the ), or degrees with honours (which are Level 8 of the ). 聽
Masters degrees by coursework, Graduate Diplomas, and Graduate Certificates are only awarded at a "pass" grade.聽 Honours is not available.
