Unit of study_

BPPE2000: Intermediate PPE

2026 unit information

This unit of study presents students with fundamental concepts and methodologies in economics and political economy and shows how each discipline can help to inform the other. It examines policy and social challenges -particularly surrounding issues of inequality, including income, wealth, opportunity, gender, racial, interregional, and intergenerational-that require an interdisciplinary lens for resolution. Emphasis is placed on enhancing data literacy, both quantitative and qualitative, enabling students to navigate complex information environments, inform decision-making, and effectively advocate for ethical leadership.
