This hands-on unit focuses on electronic music composition in the field of interactive and multimedia arts. Through the practical creation of personal works, students will explore a range of real-world paradigms and technologies including electronic performance, installations, human computer interaction, gestural control, network technology, and integration with visual arts and video. This unit will also investigate literature and creative art practices around topics such as cross-modal perception, idea development, audience engagement, collaboration, technical design and project management.
