This unit provides students with an opportunity to build knowledge and skills for positive social innovation across formal and informal educational settings, including schools, higher education, workplaces and communities. It draws on three complementary lenses: macro (eg. governing the future), meso (eg. participatory futures methods) and micro (eg. human鈥揂I agency). Throughout the unit, students engage with relevant literature and learn to develop socially responsible agents in digital and analogue forms to address complex educational challenges (e.g. equity, integrity, bias, and well being), while critically reflecting on the implications of designing and governing AI for social change.
