Upon completing this unit, students will possess a thorough understanding of several key areas: the principles of adaptive and ecologically sustainable water management; international and regional frameworks for managing water resources; the current legal framework at the Federal and New South Wales levels of government; and the global and domestic consequences of the corporatisation and privatisation of water utilities. This unit adopts a multidisciplinary approach by incorporating the perspectives of scientists, lawyers, economists, social scientists, and First Nations Peoples.
