Mentoring has been shown to influence people鈥檚 careers 鈥� from the high school teacher who believed in you to the final year student who supported you in your first year at university to the workplace senior who helped you build your networks and apply for that promotion. This unit provides you with foundational skills and knowledge in mentoring that you can apply as both a mentor and mentee. You will learn about establishing and maintaining mentoring relationships and key skills such as active listening and providing and receiving feedback. Learning activities are online and asynchronous. Assessments can be personalised to mentoring relationships that are relevant to you. Students wishing to extend their leadership knowledge can undertake related Student Leadership OLEs in Representation and Community engagement, each of which are 2 credits points. .
