As a Master of Commerce student, you will have the opportunity to undertake a work placement in Australia or overseas, which will count towards your degree. Â
We also offer the award-winning free Job Smart program, which enables international students to gain the skills and professional experience to gain employment when they graduate.

3. Specialise in a field of your choice
Our Master of Commerce programs offer eight future-focused specialisations, giving you a competitive edge in your area of choice. You can choose one specialisation in our Master of Commerce and up to two in our Master of Commerce (Extension). Specialisations include:

4. Choose to study in a timeframe that suits you
We offer two programs for you to choose from:
- Master of Commerce: 1.5 years
- Master of Commerce (Extension): 2 years
Our two-year program meets the requirements for international students wishing to apply for a post-study work visa in Australia.
We also offer flexible pathway options through our Graduate Diploma in CommerceÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýGraduate Certificate in Commerce.
If you have relevant previous qualifications, you may also be eligible for recognition of prior learning.
5. Customise your degree
While the Master of CommerceÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýMaster of Commerce (Extension) have different admission requirements, you can choose to transfer from either degree to the other and depending on your needs.
If you want to change your course from Master of Commerce to Master of Commerce (Extension), you must apply for the Master of Commerce (Extension) before you start your third semester.
Please apply for the new course before the admissions deadline for the following semester.  You can find the admissions deadline for the coming semester here.
This depends on whether you meet the admission criteria for the Master of Commerce.
In order to be considered, you are required to apply for the Master of Commerce online*.
Should the transfer be successful, you will be eligible for a full credit transfer where applicable to the Master of Commerce.
* The application process is the same as when students applied for the Master of Commerce (Extension).
6. No prior work experience needed
One of the best advantages to our Master of Commerce (Extension) is that you do not need to have a background in business. Any bachelor’s degree will allow you to apply to the course immediately after graduation – no work experience required.
If you have a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business, or a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of one-year’s relevant work experience, you can choose to study our Master of Commerce.
