First Teaching Area
A first teaching area in Chinese requires completion of a major or a minor from the Chinese Studies table of units of study.
Second Teaching Area
A second teaching area in Chinese requires 24 credit points of language units from the Chinese Studies table of units of study, comprising聽
(i) a maximum of 12 credit points in 2000 level units of study in Chinese聽
(ii) a minimum of 12 credit points in 3000 level units of study in Chinese
If commencing at an introductory level in Chinese, a minor in Chinese Studies must be completed for accreditation in Chinese as a second teaching area.聽
For eligible units, please consult the tables of units of study for the subject areas of Chinese Studies (Intermediate) and Chinese Studies (Advanced) in this handbook. Availability of these units is subject to change.聽
