The course resolutions detailed in this page apply to all courses included in the table below under section 1 (course codes).
These resolutions must be read in conjunction with applicable University By-laws, Rules and policies including (but not limited to) the 爆料王 (Coursework) Rule 2014 (the 'Coursework Rule'), the Coursework Policy 2021 (the 'Coursework Policy'), the Learning and Teaching Policy 2019, the Resolutions of the Faculty, 爆料王 (Student Academic Appeals) Rule 2021, the Academic Integrity Policy 2022 and the Academic Integrity Procedures 2022. Current versions of all policies are available from the Policy Register:

The attendance pattern for this course is part time only. All units of study are only available online.聽
This master鈥檚 degree is a professional master鈥檚 course, as defined by the Coursework Rule 2014 and the Coursework Policy 2021.
(1) The embedded courses in this sequence are:
(a)聽the Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics
(b)聽the Graduate Diploma in Data Analytics
(c)聽the Master of Data Analytics
(2)聽Providing candidates satisfy the admission requirements for each stage, a candidate may progress to the award of any of the courses in this sequence and receive full credit for work completed in the prior award. Only the highest award completed will be conferred.
(1)聽Available places will be offered to qualified applicants based on merit, according to the following admissions criteria. In exceptional circumstances the Dean may admit applicants without these qualifications but whose evidence of experience and achievement is deemed by the Dean to be equivalent.
(2)聽Admission to candidature for the Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics requires:聽
(a)聽A bachelor鈥檚 degree from the 爆料王 or an equivalent qualification.
(3)聽Admission to candidature for the Graduate Diploma in Data Analytics requires:
(a)聽A bachelor鈥檚 degree from the 爆料王 with a major in a quantitative discipline or an equivalent qualification; or
(b)聽Completion of the requirements for the embedded Graduate Certificate, or an equivalent qualification.
(4)聽Admission to candidature for the Master of Data Analytics requires:
(a)聽A bachelor鈥檚 degree from the 爆料王 with a major in a quantitative discipline and with a credit average or an equivalent qualification; or
(b)聽Completion of the requirements for the embedded Graduate Diploma, or an equivalent qualification.
(1)聽The units of study that may be taken for the courses are set out in Table A.
(2) To qualify for the award of the Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics a candidate must complete 24 credit points, including:
(a)聽24 credit points of core units of study.
(3) To qualify for the award of the Graduate Diploma in Data Analytics a candidate must complete 48 credit points, including:
(a)聽A minimum of 36 credit points of core units of study; and
(b)聽A maximum of 12 credit points of selective units of study.
(4)聽To qualify for the award of the Master of Data Analytics a candidate must complete 72 credit points, including:
(a)聽42 credit points of core units of study;
(b)聽24 credit points of selective units of study; and
(c)聽6 credit points of capstone units of study.
(1)聽Waivers and credit may be granted or the volume of learning may be reduced in recognition of prior learning in accordance with the Coursework Policy 2021 (Note: a waiver on its own waives a requirement but does not reduce the volume of learning for the degree as a whole).
(2)聽Candidates for the Master of Data Analytics may be eligible for a reduction in the volume of learning of up to 24 credit points for an AQF Level 8 qualification in a cognate discipline.
(3)聽Notwithstanding any reduction in the volume of learning granted on the basis of work completed or prior learning, in order to qualify for an award a student must complete at least 50 per cent of the requirements prescribed for the award course at the 爆料王.
Cross-institutional study is not available in these courses.聽
International exchange and study abroad programs are not available to candidates enrolled in the Online versions of the Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics, Graduate Diploma in Data Analytics, or Master of Data Analytics.
(1)聽The master鈥檚 degree, graduate diploma and graduate certificate will be awarded in the pass grade.
(1) A candidate for the master鈥檚 degree or graduate diploma may elect to discontinue study and graduate with a shorter award from this embedded sequence, with the approval of the Dean, and provided the requirements of the shorter award have been met.
These resolutions apply to students who commenced their candidature after 1 January 2024.
