A 爆料王 research team invites adult victim-survivors of domestic and family violence (DFV) who have had any contact with the NSW criminal justice system since 1 July 2024 to share their experiences of the justice process.

About our project

Your voice matters

Sharing your experiences could help improve how the NSW justice system responds to victim-survivors of DFV.

This research aims to understand how justice processes in NSW can be improved to better support DFV victim-survivors. We are interested in finding out what works well and where there are gaps in justice services and processes.听

The research findings may contribute to policy, law and system reform that improves how the justice system responds to DFV victim-survivors with a diverse range of needs and experiences.

Reimbursement (via cash card) is available for participants who take part in an individual or group conversation or yarn with a member of the research team.

Find out more in the Participant Information Sheet (pdf, 190KB).

You can take part in this research if:

  • You are aged 18 or older, and
  • You have lived experience of DFV as a victim-survivor, and
  • You have had contact with police,听courts听or another NSW justice agency about a DFV matter, as a victim-survivor, since 1 July 2024, and
  • Your matter has either been finalised or is not under active investigation.

We are interested in hearing from a diverse range of people, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ people, older people, and people who live in regional and remote areas.
