The ±¬ÁÏÍõ Northern Clinical School supports a wide range of teaching activities for students across northern Sydney.
We are headquartered atÌýRoyal North Shore Hospital with programs alsoÌýtaught at otherÌýteaching hospitalsÌýwithin our local health district, including Mater Hospital, Macquarie Hospital, Hornsby Hospital and Ryde Hospital.
We support medicine students undertaking our Doctor of Medicine program and well as practitioners completing postgraduate specialist training. We also assist in the training of nurses and allied health practitioners, in hospital and community settings.
Student placementsÌýare major components of most of our health courses and integral to gaining your professional accreditation. In most courses, course-required placements are embedded from the first year and increase as you progress in your degree.
Elective placementsÌýare also offered through our clinical schools to internal and external medical students in their final year of study who wish to expand their knowledge in a specialty area or across a variety of clinical settings.ÌýÌý

We pride ourselves on our reputation for the excellence of our clinical teachers, who play a key role in the development of our medical students. We recruit tutors for all years of the Doctor of Medicine programÌýacross a number of areas.

The Northern Clinical School teaches from theÌýKolling Building at the Royal North Shore Hospital.Ìý
Our facilities include a 200 seat auditorium, lecture, tutorial, meeting and computer rooms, the Douglas Piper Library and the Sydney Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre (SCSSC).
