As a 2015 scholarship recipient, Rameen believes the funding is crucial to her studies and to helping her build a future of her making. 聽

鈥淭he scholarship has opened up the chance for me to further my education beyond completing a degree. It has helped ease the burden of purchasing learning essentials such as textbooks.鈥

Rameen aspires to establish her own start-up in sustainable energy and is currently completing both a Bachelor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and a Bachelor of Law.

The scholarship funding Rameen receives will also support her as she looks to undertake a six-month offered by The School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering.

These exchange programs offer invaluable overseas industrial experience and a global view to technical, social, economic and environmental issues. Partnering Universities include Tsinghua University, Beijing, China; Louisiana State University, United States; Imperial College, London, England; and Kungl Teckniska Hogskolan (KTH) Sweden

鈥淚 don鈥檛 think I would have made a plan like this without being motivated by the scholarship鈥 says Rameen. 鈥淭his scholarship is facilitating the transition of my dreams into attainable goals. I鈥檓 excited that it will be passed onto individuals of low socio-economic backgrounds who will be given an opportunity that is likely to exceed what they think is possible.鈥
