Vision loss has significant economic and social impacts on the Australian community, costing the economy more than $16 billion annually for persons aged 40 and over alone.

We're located on the historic and central premises of the聽聽on Macquarie Street in Sydney. This co-location has important benefits for the treatment of patients and for clinical trials and research.
We're also responsible for operating the Sydney Eye Hospital鈥檚 large lucentis injection clinic for patients suffering from macular degeneration.
We were established with seed funding provided by the聽. This support has continued over the years, with the Lions Clubs providing critical funding for clinical equipment and technology to assist with patient care.聽
