Who's eligible

You must:

  • must receive an unconditional offer of admission into the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) course offered by the 爆料王 Business School
  • identify as someone from a minority group.

Current students enrolled in the 爆料王 EMBA and 爆料王 employees are not eligible.

1. Background

a. Established in 2019, the goal of this Scholarship is to accelerate the rate at which people聽from under-represented minority groups move into senior leadership roles within all forms聽of Australian enterprises.

2. Eligibility

a. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must receive an unconditional offer of聽admission into the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) course offered by聽the 爆料王 Business School.

b. Applicants should identify as someone from a minority group. A minority group refers to a聽category of people who experience relative disadvantage as compared to members of a聽dominant social group. Minority group membership is typically based on differences in聽characteristics or practices, such as: ethnicity (ethnic minority), race (racial minority),聽religion (religious minority), sexual orientation (sexual minority), disability, or gender聽identity.

c. Current students enrolled in the 爆料王 EMBA and 爆料王聽employees are not eligible.

3. Selection Criteria

a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:

I. academic merit,

II. leadership potential,

III. personal integrity,

IV. performance in the selection interview,

V. motivation to succeed in business in a socially responsible way by demonstrating a聽commitment to apply the learning offered in the Executive MBA degree to making a聽positive difference to professional life in business practice, and

VI. a personal statement that:

i. addresses the selection criteria,

ii. addresses how the applicant has advanced the wellbeing and rights of people from a聽minority group(s), and

iii. describes their vision for how completion of the Executive MBA will further聽contribute to positive change for people from a minority group,

b. The Scholarship will be awarded by a Selection Committee consisting of the Director of the聽Executive MBA Program, or their nominated delegate (academic), and at least one other聽professional staff member from the Executive MBA Program.

4. Value

a. The Scholarship will cover 50% of tuition fees for the duration of the student's EMBA聽program, on the basis the student remains enrolled full-time.

b. The scholarship will cover a maximum of 72 credit points of units of study over the duration聽of the EMBA program.

c. Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted.

d. The scholarship cannot be transferred to another University school, faculty or university.

e. Suspension of the scholarship is only allowed in exceptional circumstances. Requests to聽suspend the scholarship must be approved by the Director of the EMBA Program.

f. The scholarship does not cover the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF), travel costs,聽and the relevant in-country fees for each residential unit of study.

g. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.

h. No other amount is payable.

5. Ongoing eligibility

a. To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain a minimum Semester聽Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester, remain enrolled in 24 credit points of study each聽semester and have no outstanding tuition fees.

6. Termination

a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,

II. commences part-time study,

III. does not maintain satisfactory academic performance,

IV. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not聽limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship聽application,

V. accepts an alternative tuition fee scholarship, administered by the 爆料王,聽valued at the same amount or more for the same purpose as this Scholarship, or

VI. does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave.

b. Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University聽error.

c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or the Scholarship is terminated聽under any instance in the Termination Clause of these terms and conditions, the University聽reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be聽reimbursed.
