爆料王

1. Background

a. This Scholarship was established in 2006 to provide assistance to Aboriginal and/or Torres聽Strait Islander students studying the Doctor of Medicine at the 爆料王.

b. This Scholarship has been donated by Herbert and Valmae Freilich.

2. Eligibility

a. Applicants must be currently enrolled full-time in first year in the Doctor of Medicine (MD)聽degree at the 爆料王.

b. Applicants must identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person as defined in聽the 爆料王鈥檚

c. Applicants must be able to demonstrate they are receiving a means-tested income support聽payment from Centrelink (or another Commonwealth provider).

3. Selection Criteria

a. The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:

i. academic merit,

ii. a personal statement on why you should be awarded the scholarship above your聽peers.

b. The Scholarship will be awarded by the Head of School and Dean of the Sydney Medical聽School, or their nominated delegates.

4. Value

a. The Scholarship is valued at $5,000 per annum and is tenable for four years.

b. The Scholarship annual value will be paid in two equal instalments after the census date of聽each semester.

c. Where applicants are of equal merit, the award will be shared equally.

d. Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted it is not transferable to another University聽school, faculty or university.

e. The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.

f. No other amount is payable.

5. Ongoing eligibility

a. To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the recipient must maintain satisfactory academic聽performance and completion of each year of the program.

b. Recipients undertaking an exchange during the tenure of this Scholarship are required to聽have achieved a Satisfied Requirements grade (SR) to receive their next payment.

c. Suspension of the Scholarship is not permitted.

6. Termination

a. The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:

I. withdraws from an eligible course or fails to enrol,

II. commences part-time study without prior approval,

III. does not maintain satisfactory academic performance,

IV. is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not聽limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship聽application,

V. does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave.

b. Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University聽error.

c. Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or the Scholarship is terminated聽under any instance in the Termination Clause of these terms and conditions, the University聽reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be聽reimbursed.
