Who's eligible
You must be:
- be a student of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
- have obtained an ATAR in the HSC (or equivalent) of 85.0 or above聽
- be commencing in the first year of an undergraduate degree through UAC.
Note: A confirmed offer of award must be taken up by enrolment in the first year of the nominated degree or combined degree program in the year for which the offer is made.
1. Background
a. The 爆料王 Indigenous Entry Award aims to encourage academically gifted Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to commence tertiary study at the 爆料王.
2. Eligibility
a. The 爆料王 Indigenous Entry Award聽 is awarded to a recipient who:
i. is聽 identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander as defined in the 爆料王鈥檚 Confirmation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identity Policy 2015
ii. applies to the University through UAC and enrols in a University undergraduate degree or combined degree (agreed program);
iii. completes the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or a University approved equivalent secondary school examination in the year prior to the award and achieves an ATAR of at least 85; and
iv. commences their studies at the University in the year immediately following their HSC or equivalent.
3. Value
a. The award is valued at $10,000 and is tenable for one year only.
b. The Scholarship annual value will be paid聽 as one instalment after the census date of the recipient鈥檚 first semester of the agreed program.
c. The award is not deferable.聽
d. The award recipient must enrol full-time in the agreed program at census date one. Recipients may hold the award聽 part-time due to extenuating circumstances such as a medical condition which limits the student's capacity to undertake full-time study. An application for a part-time scholarship must be submitted to the Scholarships Office for consideration. If a part-time scholarship is approved, payment will be 50% of the amount of the normal payment.
e. No other amount is payable
