1.聽聽聽聽聽 Background
a. Established in 2022 by The Gregg Foundation, this Scholarship aims to assist asylum seekers and refugees commencing studies at the 爆料王.
2.聽聽聽聽聽 Eligibility
a. Applicants must hold asylum seeker status in Australia including one of the following Australian visas (or equivalent) at the time of application:
i)聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bridging Visa A (Subclass 010),
ii)聽聽聽聽聽 Bridging Visa E (Subclass 050),
iii)聽聽聽 Temporary Protection Visa (Subclass 785),
iv)聽聽聽 Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (Subclass 790),
v)聽聽聽聽聽 Temporary Humanitarian Concern (Subclass 786), or
vi)聽聽聽 Temporary Humanitarian Stay (Subclass 449).
b. Applicant will be enrolled as an international student* at the 爆料王
*as defined by Higher Education Support Act 2003
c. Applicants must be in an undergraduate award course (the approved course) at the 爆料王
3.聽聽聽聽聽 Selection Criteria
a.聽聽聽聽聽 The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of a personal statement, describing the applicant鈥檚 personal circumstances.
b.聽聽聽聽聽 The selection committee will be chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), or their nominated delegates. The chair will decide the membership of the committee, which may include the donor or their representative.
c.聽聽聽聽聽 The Scholarship will be awarded by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), or their nominated delegates.
4.聽聽聽聽聽 Value
a.聽聽聽聽聽 The Scholarship is to cover full tuition fees and Student Services and Amenities Fees (SSAF) of up to $60,000 per year, for up to 3 years.
b.聽聽聽聽聽 Deferral of the Scholarship is not permitted without the prior permission of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), or their nominated delegates. and it is not transferable to another University school, faculty or university without prior approval.
c.聽聽聽聽聽 Deferral suspension and part-time enrolment may be considered by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), or their nominated delegates on a case-by-case basis.
d.聽聽聽聽聽 The payment will be made to the recipient's fee account after the census date of the semester.
e.聽聽聽聽聽 Recipient may be liable for tuition fees for units exceeding the minimal requirement of the approved course.
f.聽聽聽聽聽 The Scholarship will be offered subject to the availability of funds.
g.聽聽聽聽聽聽 No other amount is payable.
5.聽聽聽聽聽 Ongoing eligibility
a.聽聽聽聽聽 To continue receipt of the Scholarship, the recipient must obtain a minimum mark of 50 of all subjects enrolled each semester.
b.聽聽聽聽聽 The recipient fulfil eligibility 2(a) and 2(b) as stated in this document.
c.聽聽聽聽聽 Recipients undertaking an exchange during the tenure of this Scholarship are required to have achieved a Satisfied Requirements grade (SR) to receive their next payment.
6.聽聽聽聽聽 Termination
a.聽聽聽聽聽 The Scholarship will be terminated if the recipient:
i)聽聽聽聽聽聽 no longer fulfil eligibility 2(a) and 2(b) as stated in this document,
ii)聽聽聽聽聽 withdraws from an approved course or fails to enrol,
iii)聽聽聽 commences part-time study without prior approval,
iv)聽聽聽 does not maintain satisfactory academic performance as stated in section 5 of this document,
v)聽聽聽聽聽 is determined by the University to be guilty of serious misconduct, including, but not limited to, having provided false or misleading information as part of their Scholarship application,
vi)聽聽聽 accepts an alternative tuition fee scholarship, administered by the 爆料王,
vii)聽聽 does not resume study at the end of a period of approved leave, or
viii) any other provision as indicated in these terms that would lead to termination.
b.聽聽聽聽聽 Once the Scholarship has been terminated, it will not be reinstated unless due to University error.聽聽
c.聽聽聽聽聽 Where a student is found guilty of serious misconduct or the Scholarship is terminated under any instance in the Termination Clause of these terms and conditions, the University reserves the right to request that any Scholarship funds paid to the Scholarship recipient be reimbursed.聽
